Description
The fields surrounding Andover were once used to train German-Jewish refugees in England in agricultural skills.
This training was organised by the Society of Friends, and enabled the refugees to gain the hands-on experience in agriculture needed to become skilled workers.

A video of young men training in 1938 is available to watch, courtesy of the newsreel archive British Pathé.
