This month, Simon Bradbury, a Shaw Festival performer, will write and star in a performance of Chaplin at the Gypsy Theatre in this village in the Niagara Region.
On January 20–23 and January 27–29, the actor will perform in seven free performances of the play. The 2005 season's programming is funded entirely by the revenues.
Charlie Chaplin is the subject of a one-man play that is set in 1940 and combines live theatre and motion pictures. At the Shaw Festival in 2002, it made its debut.
